Dear McCrorie Family,
On behalf of Rory and our whole family we acknowledge with sadness Gert's passing; both she and Andy have a fond place in our hearts and minds and Thank You for all the opportunities you gave Rory to serve you and the public when he was 10 years old. 22 years fly's too fast but the memories are great and they shall live on forever.
Our sincerest condolences to the whole family.

Joyce was so full of energy and determination. Her first and most fierce loyalty was to her children. No mother ever loved her kids more. We were both new to the sleepy town of Ridgeway and she helped me through those early years when I felt like an outsider.
We spent many special occasions with the McCrorie family. My favourite story involves the Christmas tree which had to be put up and redecorated about 3 times one year--I'm afraid we played a big part in the reason for that. I missed her terribly when the family moved back to Toronto and will always treasure my memories of her.
Take care Karen, Scott, and Brad. You had a wonderful mother.

I loved watching Gert take joy out of serving her customers at the deli but I especially enjoyed hearing the stories involving Andy's teeth and how they mysteriously found there way into the kitty litter. Sorry Gert, your secrets out!! Love Peter

We will never forget you Gertie! Your spunk, your wit, your passion. You were never at a loss for words and always gave your opinion. Life with you was always an adventure! When I first met you and the rest of the McCrorie clan I was actually quite terrified, I don't think I said anything for the first two years. It was like watching a sitcom. A very funny sitcom.
